Busch Garden’s New Coaster ‘Tempesto’ Opens April 25th!

Are you a daredevil?  Do you think you have what it takes to #DotheLoop?

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, VA will be opening its newest roller coaster, Tempesto, on Saturday, April 25th!  Designed and inspired by stunts popularly performed by famous daredevils, the new coaster features multiple launch elements and loop-the-loop inversion!   Wondering if you can stomach it?  Check out this POV video!

Tempesto is NOT your typical roller coaster.  It has THREE launch experiences (yes 3!) that propel riders forward and backward through the ride’s station house.  Just when you think the ride will continue forward, you’ll reverse and then speed past waiting guests at more than 60 miles per hour. Riders then climb 154 feet in the air for Tempesto’s signature loop-the-loop inversion.

Getting excited yet?  Here is what some of Busch Gardens’ officials had to say:

Guests waiting to experience Tempesto will certainly feel its power as the coaster train races past them at highway speeds -Larry Giles, Busch Gardens’ Vice President of Engineering

I’m looking forward to seeing the expression on our guests’ faces when they watch Tempesto in action.  The speed of this launch coaster, combined with its compact footprint will make for an exhilarating ride. -Busch Gardens’ President Carl Lum

I’ll be checking out Tempesto with my family and will be posting again soon!  My teenage daughter will be joining me and can’t even contain herself!  My hubby will be on the side watching the new baby and our toddler.  Follow me on my channels to check out our pics and video!  In the meantime, follow the fun at #Tempesto!
